Farewell

Hey guys, I am getting rid of my E next week and wanted to thank any and all of you that I have come in contact with whilst in this model class for the conversations and late nights of red eye posting...

Sadly I will not be able to stay in another E per market conditions and am downgrading (in my opinion) to a C300 4-M for a while.

I look forward to rejoining the ranks in a post-launch E or E Coupe 2 years from now.

If anyone is interested in a Carbon Fiber front lip spoiler let me know and ill give it to you for the cost of shipping.

Best wishes and continued satisfaction with the brand,

Chris

I don't know if it is any downgrade going to a C-300 4-M if it is the W204. A bit smaller perhaps. Once we get the W204 joining our familiy, my plan would be to drive that as much as possible instead of the W221. Sounds like a clever move now that the new E is coming.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride since it is an MB anyway and I believe many from this forum will see your posts at the other section, why not here too, not all posting here have any E-class.

Yeah you're right...

I have to say that I am looking forward to the better suspension and sound system...

Other than that it's a toss up!

We will miss you Chris. Come back over some time. This is a great place.

Btw, what year is your e-class and what years does the carbon fiber lip spoiler fit on? My E is a 2004 with the appearance sport package. Does this require the AMG sport package?

I agree stick around. I have a C-class and an S-class. The C-class forum seems to have less of a nice guy helping each other feel, and more of a cliquey feel. I could be wrong, but I love this group. The S-class forum just makes me feel snobyy ;-)...

Interesting - will have to throw out a feeler and see if the degree of stupidity increases relative to what were used to!

Thanks Gaazmon - don't worry, not only will I be around but I will be back in the future...I am going to miss my E.

About that spoiler, it only fits the 07-08 Sport pack E's...

I already have it slotted to go to another member once my car decides to get to our store...I HATE the vpc - morons..

K, I see. Ya, won't fit mine. Good luck with the C-class. They're a lot better than the previous C, comfort wise and a lot of other things wise, IMO. Our 07 C230 goes back this month. The ride was horrible.

RE: Leaving Us

Chris,

I'm sorry to see you letting the E go, but the W204 is a nice car, only a bit smaller, which may not matter depending on your needs.

It sounds like your spoiler will fit my car, if you still have it and your offer is still good, I'll take it. Please PM me and we can work the logistics.

Sorry man I already slotted it to go to another member...strictly going by who asked first and who's car it fits and he met both criteria first..

Best,

Chris

Thanks...will be giving a detailed write-up once I become better-acquainted with the car

I guess I should upgrade my signature picture, but I also have a 2008 C300 4-Matic. It is smaller, but I think that it is a GREAT car! I wish it had a few little features that my 04 E320 4-Matic has, but other than that it is a fun car. I have the Sport model with staggered wheels (OEM).
