Supercharging my E320

I've just begun to research the possibility of doing this, and I am pleasantly surprised with the options I have.

So far I have found the usual Kleeman and Brabus performance upgrade kits and others, or considered buying an AMG 55 or 63, but I want the charged V6. It puts out 350HP in the SLK 32AMG, which I would be completely satisfied with...

Which leads me to the decision to buy a used 3.2L V6 AMG engine, have it swapped in, tuned, and have a nice day. I'm sure to run into problems along the way- has anyone else done this??

interesting

I wouldnt mind spending abt 10k total on goingthe FI route. but my GTO will get that "option" first, even though it already has 400 HP.

reason being its been proven that the LS2 engines can take it and I wont mess around with the E unless MB comes out with a package, which I doubt they will.

Why not just get a E55 AMG? They are quite affordable now.

Quite honestly I wouldn't know what to do with ALL that power. I might end up there anyway, sooner or later.
This is something I want to do much later- my 05 still has less than 25K original miles. If I can swap in a low mileage AMG engine later when I hit 100K or 200K, it'll feel like a new car and be a great little project. I guess I really don't have to decide if its a V6 or V8 until then. But the V6 would be one-of-a-kind, and the V8... just by anE55, ya know?

Right now I've found the engine (out of an 04 SLK 32AMG) for around 3 large, and again the engine with matched auto tranny for 4. So I know they are out there, just need to do more research as to what will work and not work.

$4 for the motor, $1 for the install, and $1 for the tune, I'm thinking $6,000 total minus whatever I can get for my motor right now if I did it soon. Seems pretty cheap for 120 more horses. Dirt cheap.

I would look into kleemann as I believe they are the best choice.
