Cannot reset Service G+ - - NEW Owner
Hi friends,
I finally sold the W210 and upgraded to a MY04 E320 (61K Mi). The vehicle displayed Service G+ exceeded by 11000 miles when I purchased the car. The receipts in glove box show brakestop did a break job replacing all pads and resurfacing rotors for around $725 at 60,400 miles (about a thousald miles ago).
I went in fss menu to reset and was able to cancel seevral services 1,2,3,5,7,9 etc. but two services 11,12 cannot be cancelled. Display reads "Cannot cancel service".
Afetr canceling all the other services, it now shows Service G+ exceeded by 39,000 miles - What a bummer.
There is no dispstick to check the oil so i am thinking about doing an oil change soon so I know when it was changed. The oil quantity level shows --.-- and no reading.
Vehicle seems to have been very well kept. It was one-owner (I bought from Archer-VW in Houston, TX).
had to do a firmware upgrade on the Comand in order to play mp3's. Everything else seems good. How do I reset the service - its driving me nuts because it chimes at every start.
Also it displays "SOS not activated" at startup too. Is there a way to disable that message?
thanks,
Moby

Thanks to Konigstiger - My services have been reset. Before reading the instructions he forwarded to me, I was trying to cancel services. After reading I realized that you have to confirm them. Thats how they go away. Funny the + sign for brake services went away as well. THANKS KONIGSTIGER!!!!

Trick id to accept completion of the service by CONFIRMING it. so go to each service (1..15) or whatever shows and confirm it. After each confirmation the numbers may or amay not disappear fromt he list - just scroll down to next number and CONFIRM it. after all are confirmed, restart the car and all warnings are GONE!
Hope this helps.

I had service C with 4000 miles to go. I've changed the oil and played with the settings(ruined everything) Now i have service E+, lol! Are those services for Mercedes dealerships right? They don't make sense to the regular service visits.
