Porsche Macan S SportDesign / Ex M-B's: 11 & 10 & 06 E350's, 02 S500
Just did a quick Search and found these, they may be far away though. I used a very wide radius (100 Miles around and within Los Angeles), and only Searched for any '06's with AMG Package, most are 350's though. Didn't look for '07+'s with the AMG Package however....
This is an '06, E350, higher mileage but it's CPO'd and has the AMG Package. It seems bare-bones as far as all the other options go:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Another CPO '06 E350 w/ AMG, less mileage and more options, but more expensive:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
'06 White E500 AMG Package, looks nice, cheaap too, Loaded up, but pretty high Miles and no Warranty (you do save with the cars price though....)
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
'06 E350, cheap w/ 50K Miles, no Warranty, looks kinda fishy as it has an AMG package but regular Appearance package rims:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Another (lots of black ones with AMG package it looks like)
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Another black one with AMG Package?! Lower Miles this time:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

No prob man, I know how tough the buying process can be, and there's nothing worse than spending hard earned cash for a car that wasn't the best you can get.

Dude,
u stated in your first post that performance is a biggie, and that you have an ego. U cannot compare the two engines. I've driven a E350, and bel. me, its ok, (no diff. from today's 250ish hp V6 cars). but its NOT a 5.0 V8.
Folks telling you its 268hp vs. 302 hp, not much diff. YEah right, go drive 'em both and find out for yourself. I'll leave you with one stat which says it all:
E350 torque = 258lb-ft @ 2,400 rpms.
E500 torque = 339lb-ft @2,700 rpms.
I cannot emphasize how amazing this motor is. And the beauty of the torque is a flat curve with power coming in at such low rpms. MB V8's are pure amazing.
But you need to experience this yourself.
END OF STORY....
PS,
Wanna wait a year like you said above? Do so and get the simply mind blowing E550....

Ya, if your like me, then go with the 500, I would.
In regards to the body package, I'd go with appearance over AMG (You can't have both). The appearance package gives you: xenons (not standard on any E class even now), LED tail lights, blue glass, sport body kit, and couple of other things vs. the AMG sport package giving you AMG rims, AMG body kit, and exhaust tips. From my perspective, I'd go with the appearance package.

WELL guys...i just got back from driving my friends 05 E500 w/appearance pkg and honestly im lost for words...its probably the fastest thing ive ever drove...the V8 is AMAZING ...to K-A...that white E500 AMG you posted is REALLLYY tempting...only problem with it is that its white...and im pretty positive that benzes work best with black (never seen a white benz) anyways...can you guys tell me the differences b/w AMG and appearance pkg?? I already noe this much:
AMG: bodykit, exhaust tips, gearshifter, wheels, blue tinted glass? anything different performance wise?
appearance: wheels, slightly enhanced bodykit, headlamp washers, blue glass? what about performance stuff anything different from the AMG?
sorry for being such a nuisance but the times are tough so im really concerned about what to get

I'd definitely go check it out for the hell of it!
AMG Package comes with a Sport tuned & Lowered Suspension, OEM AMG 18" wheels, Dual AMG Exhaust tips, AMG front and back bumpers, Sport Side Skirts, Sport Gearshifter (not sure what the Appearance Package has), and the interior code is the "Elegance" code, with the black guages and dark brown wood (which I personally much prefer).
The Appearance Package has: Sport front bumper, Sport side skirts, Regular back bumper (some might have two exhaust cutouts and exposed tips), 18" multi-spoke wheels, Black Wood and White Gauges, not sure if the '06's have Airmatic or Sport Suspension, LED Tails, Blue Tinted Glass (AMG Package has Green Tinted but I never noticed any color on them), not sure if '06's still came with Xenon's standard, etc.
Basically with the AMG Package, you're paying for the aesthetic look and the Suspension/Wheels, so it comes down to what's more important to you.

Dude, white was my first choice. We have a CL500 in white, ohhhhh, it's sick, I love it. Don't let anyone tell you it's a girl color, cause that is BS. Also, white with pano equals double ooohhhhh. Yes, the 500 is the bomb. It's not the hp, it's the torque that really seals the difference, especially since the torque kicks in just a little after 3k rpm. Dude, check out the torque on the 600's, over 500 torque at like 1800 rpm. OMG, I would love to have a CL600 T/T, to die for.
I was gonna buy an 04 E500. It had 42k miles, appearance package, nav, phone, park sensors, no cpo. But I took this one cause it was CPO and it had the comfort package with the ac/heated seats with the dynamic feature and pano roof. Also, the CPO saved my a**. I had the transmission replaced under warranty due to glycol back in the beginning of jan. So for me, I sacrificed the engine power for the features. Besides, I can always make it faster

hmmm i guess im gonna give white a try then since you guys insist on it...i do have to agree that a white car w/ blacked out windows and smoked tail lamps looks BOMB ...but after driving my friends E500 and my cousins 01 E430 sport...and honestly theres nothing like a V8 benz...BUT it also depends on the pkgs right?

I've had an e500, e320, r500, e63. My friend has an e350, my uncle had one whose engine was replaced under warranty. The 500 motor is a much smoother motor for cruising and much faster when you put the pedal down. It aint the hp, it's the tq and where it is delivered. If you drive an e350 to keep up with an e500, you will get almost the same mileage. On youtube watch there comparison of a toyota prius vs a bmw m3 driven around a racetrack. The Prius driver could drive as fast as he could, the Bmw driver just had to keep up with the prius driver. Guess who got the better mileage? My e500 could get 26-27 on the highway (7spd car, not 5) which was way better than expected. And thats 75+. Drive them both, I'm thinking if you like the way a car feels, not just how it looks, you'll buy the 500. Just my two cents.
Off topic, but fun anyway - check this out on fuel economy, BMW M3 vs. Toyota Prius

Try to find an 07 E350 Saks Fifth Avenue. You will get the sporty AMG look,Leather, the good headlights and pano roof.
Yeah, I'd say either AMG package E500 for the major win, or if not, a regular Sport '07-'08 E350 (if you find an AMG package jump on it, but I think they're pretty rare on models before '09).
Yeah, the major downfall to your pocketbook would be the Airmatic if you've not a Warranty. However it obviously does provide a great ride. I love the way my E rides and sits, a bit lower than an Airmatic car too. However nothing matches the smoothness of Airmatic.
Also, the City MPG will be a good 2-3 lower than a 350, I wouldn't call it a deal breaker but it'll be there.
I dunno about 0-60, but I know the E350 is supposed to be a mid-high 14 second car in the 1/4 mile, and E500's can be anywhere from high high 13's to mid 14's from what I've seen. The torque is where the big difference lies.

benlvr: Get that white E500 dude! So I can pat myself on the back for finding you it! Lol. But seriously, *if* that thing checks out, that is one of the best setups you can find on ANY year W211 IMO, V8, AMG Package, (hopefully) some of the options that only the pre face-lifts come with (ex: DD Seats), it's an '06 so you get the 7-Speed and quality on par with the '07+'s, and it's going for SUPER cheap, that's a whole lot of car for that price. Mine checked out at $61K brand new with all its options, I imagine that E500 is well over $70K.

Saks is the ish. I kinda like the pre F.L headlights though with the clear tops, but I get your point.... Or do you mean it comes with Xenons?

Maybe I should not call it Saks. If you Google Mercedes Saks E class, You will see it. The Saks store and MB put together a fund raiser for Cancer. Some people refer to this E as a Saks.

LOL! Thanks for the translation Gaazmon. Some Texans cant keep up with the LA Lingo.
I never could get used to "Your car looks sick" and now "Your car is ish"
Let me see if I have it right.
Sick=good
and ish=is the sh$t (also means good)
Man, I am getting old. When I was a child, I would get my rear kicked, by my father, if I ever called anyone DUDE.
Thanks again for clearing up the car terms LOL!!

E 500 4matic, MINI John Cooper Works
Everything's been said but I'll repeat - nothing like the V8 - true, torque is it - yes it costs a bit more for service but not significantly - after all, plugs last 100K - and you only buy 2 more good luck - now if you really want kick -ss - get a 4matic - 500 sport - that's got it all -

you guys are awesome...i was thinkin tho...what do you guys think about the new C350? ive read comparison tests on it and ya it comes behind the 3-series (expected) but ive heard overall great reviews on it and i read somewhere that with a sprintbooster you can hit 60 in 5.6 that looks really tempting haha

benzlvr2500,
The C350 is a great car ... handles well and quick ... I still prefer the E500 for a DD as it just rides smoother and with the roads the way they are up in the NY-NJ area you really feel it ..

have you driven both cars? It aint the half second during floor to the throttle acceleration. It's the torque around town, part throttle application. Numbers on paper have very little to do with the real world driving experience. Little known fact - the marketing slogan "I shoulda had a V-8" has nothing to do with vegetable juice.

However it's lack of refinement, luxury, and sound proofing make it very un-M-B like to me, I've driven quite a few and thought besides the pretty nice aesthetic look, the austere interior and overall experience of the car was pretty shockingly less than desirable. Different animal then the E, but again, different strokes for different folks.
