Top speed in each gear for 7 speed
I couldn't find it any where.
Not that important for 5 - 7, but will be useful for 1 - 4 when using manual mode.

Gear ratios for the 722.9 tranny are as follows:
4.377
2.859
1.921
1.368
1.00
0.82
0.728
Now all you need is the rear-end ratio and the number or revs per mile for your rear tires.
Get the tire revs per mile for your tire from the Tirerack site.
i e . . .
Fourth gear is 1.368 times 2.65 or whatever (?) your rear-end ratio is times
811 (225/55-16s) and we get 2940 revs per mile same as 60 mph
or 49 revs per one mile per hour equals 82 mph at 4000 rpm.
Simple no? Crawl under the back and read the rear-end ratio off the differential case.
While I'm at it, the gear ratios for the 722.6 are:
3.59
2.19
1.41
1.00
0.83
We see that the seven speed has two overdrives while the five speed has only one.
Advantage . . seven speed for crusing with that extra 10 percent overdrive.
Also the lower first gear.
Who says you cannot have your cake and eat it too?

The "." ".." "..." on the speedometer sure made it easier on the older models!
