What's the difference between beige and stone color interior?

I've been looking for a replacement for my worn-out steering wheel. My datacard says I have beige interior. But based on the pictures beige and stone looks the same. Can someone illustrate the difference?

IMO, the beige is more creamy, and the stone is more white.

Agree. Stone is more white, like ivory I guess.

Stone actually has a slight yellow cast to it while the new beige is a true beige in the brownish white hue.

Also, in the Stone age the carpets and mats were Stone too. In the later cars the Beige color gets a darker carpet color.

Pewter w/Stone interior was a fantasticly good looking combination.

Agree. My father has a CL500 with stone interior. Even the ash gray I have is tough, but I vowed not to get another black interior after my Chrysler 300 (as well, not to get another black car), the things were unbearable, even with tints.

Has anyone else noticed that, at least with a Cashmere Beige interior, if you get the floor mats wet (such as when you get in on a rainy day), the mats take forever to dry out? They seem to really absorb the water, so they don't dry out quickly.

I think stone is the classiest interior color available. Having said that, I have it in my S500, which is a garage queen and I put about 4000 miles on it per year. It is definitely not the best for everyday driving and keeping clean.
