changing leather door inserts
is it difficult to change the leather door inserts?
I assume the front isn't too hard, but the rear is difficult (or expensive) because of the air bags.
let me know.
thanks!
G.

I'm about to pick up 4 leather door panels from an E500 with the sun shades on the second row seat windows and leather front seats for 365 @ a local wrecking yard! As stupid as it may sound, I'm happy for the sunshade upgrade on the 350 as its sort of like a free option.
The whole interior he offered to me for $600 which is pretty awesome but I turned down the rear seats due to some large dimples in the leather that I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with. I'll find rear seats soon enough but this is a good start in the meantime. Good luck with your project.
wondering if anyone has experience changing these, rather than the full door panel (which is what it looks like I'm getting replies on).
Thanks!
G.

still - you should get those doorpanels...you will def be able to make money on the rear ones with integrated shades!
greetingz,

If thats the case maybe you misunderstood that my overall goal is to switch the interior to leather so if its charcoal all components will be charcoal because they'll come from the E500 donor. Either this one or another one. As for the SRS, the seats are physically the same, what I will do is have my shop leather guy remove the leather seat covers and put them on my existing seat bodies and just remove the mbtex covers. Like a swap, basically. I'm pretty sure it will all work and look good, but correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks for your help.
Steve, I also have a few other OEM part questions if you have a chance check your email I'd really like to you hear your input. Thanks much.
