How to unlock DVD/TV in motion via Star Diagnose?

How about switching the vehicle boot icon? (I'd prefer a Mercedes star to an embossed AMG thing) I've got MP3 support in the dash which is great, but I heard there were other features you could enable.
What exactly do I need to do to get into engineering mode? (also how can I confirm I'm using a firmware that will let me access engineering mode?)

In Star DAS (Developer Mode)
Select car model
Select control units and then screw down the page
Select Audio, Video, Navigation und Telematik, hit F3
The system will pops out all kind of settings, ignore and press F2
New screen with ESD warning ->F3
Select COMAND /AUDIO -AUDIO 50 oder COMAND ->F3
Entwicklungsdaten ->F3
Control units (Steuergerate)->F3
Anpassungen ->F3
Steuergerate-Anpassungen (Variantencoderierung) ->F3
HU Parameter ->F3
Here are some options under HU Parameter menu
Change “Driving speed is more than 0 kph” to TV/DVD enable status
Change “Driving speed is more than 10 kph” to TV/DVD enable status
Hit F3 to confirm coding
Now you be able to watch DVD/TV when car is in motion.
Select car model
Select control units and then screw down the page
Select Audio, Video, Navigation und Telematik, hit F3

i had an 03 W211 and it was a simple engineering menu thing to get VIM. 2mins and presto. no need for any updates or upgraded cd. provide more info of your car.

I had posted this on the AMG forum but no one could confirm. I'm glad I see this here.
I purchased a device that will enable VIM, but that was before I bought my C4 system shortly after. I am going to hard code it via Xentry and then end up selling the VIM/backup camera device since I won't need it.
So far loving this especially developer mode! I've done the Brake flash/Remaining fuel thus far.

Comand APS with DVD changer and Linguatronic - Telematics gateway
SOUND-Sound System
SDAR- Satellite Radio
UCI Media Interface
Tele Aid - Emergency Call, Stolen Vehicle tracking, MB Info.etc
Symptoms for the MOST control Unit
Control Unit Log Telematic
Overview images
Restart of optical Ring
I don't have what is mentioned above. I do have developer mode because I changed out the front headlights to activate LEDs via the stock headlight housings no problem.
Is this not an option for NTG2.5?
