The only difference is the headlight washer, but the light assemblies themselves cannot be distinguished from each other until they are lit.

On the main head lamp, yes. But because of the 'Bi' part(with the high-beams also being Xenon) there is a difference there. The Blue E has regular headlamps, the White E Bi-Xenon's. You'll notice the Bi-Xenon's have a clear strangely tipped cylinder where the regular headlamps have a small Blue-ish bulb in this same spot.

These are both 2009.

Just in case you are car shopping... The Bi Xenons in this car are the best headlights you will ever drive with. A truely amazing road illuminating system.

Hello Im new so excuse my ignorance. I just purchased but havent pick up as of yet a 09' E63 without Bi-Xenons. What buld comes in the car and what manufacturer would you recommend as a replacement without having to go to a aftermarket Hid set up?

the clear strangely tipped cylinder is an led bulb thats all so that it matches the hid of the main head light

Pros: love the exterior and from interior. Wider opening IMO.
Cons: gets a little noisy after a while. Need to have it greased or something, but it's not that bad.

About the bulbs, I believe the head light is H7 (check osram sylvania's web site). So if you want HIDs, you either get a H7 kit or replace the headlamps with the OEM bixenon ones that turn (way more expensive than the 1st option). You can't just put a different bulb in, it will run hotter and burn the wiring, happened to a friend of mine.

Is it possible to have Xenons in the big outside light, but not the inside little one?
