Pics of Tectite Grey

I have the new e55 on order and Iam trying to decide between Pewter and Tectite. I have seen some nice pics of Pewter, but no ggod pics of Tectite. Anybody out there have any good pics of their Tectite Benz in any model? Thanks!!

Have you seen the March issue of Car and Driver yet? It has articles on both the E55 road test with photos plus a separate article on their test of 7 cars in the E's class showing their final analysis that the Mercedes E is #1! I think their test car is pewter (but maybe it's tectite, I'm not sure) with ash interior and black birdseye maple. A whole page of professional photos of that combination! Anyway, you need this magazine for the E55 article alone! WOW!!!

How about Designo Graphite?

Since Tectite is gone.

I just couldn't justify a Designo edition on my E320 CDI Diesel transportation appliance, but on the E55, I could.

Go ahead, you only live once.

Mercedes C400, BMW X3
Really gone?

I have owned three tectite grey cars and two designo graphite cars (I now own a designo graphite E55 wagon). Tectite is my all time favorite Mercedes color. I love the very subtle golden green highlights in it. The graphite is rich and deep, but slightly lighter than tectite. In my opinion, tectite is the better color.

I am of the opinion, that if one were determined enough to find the right person at Mercedes to speak with, one could find a way to get a tectite colored car on a special order basis.

Is tectite that much different that flint grey? I almost got that color but my wife wanted the blue...I do like the blue, but it seems to be the new silver, almost everyone here in Germany (US folks) seem to have it.

Tesla
Tectite is a little darker and with greenish tint, while flint gray is slightly lighter with blueish tint.

Then there is also granite gray which changes the tint when looked at different angle.

Never seen so many different shade of gray in a car. Gray must be the new trend.
