08 e350 with Command. Aux disconnected?
I am trying to connect my Pioneer GPS to the Aux in on my e350. The Aux input does not appear to work. I have the ipod connector so I am assuming this is why Aux in does not work. What are my options here. I do not care about the ipod connector.

You can always remove the iPod interface and reconnect the AUX cable.
I'm curious about your GPS approach, do you find it OK if your radio does not work while you are using your GPS via the AUX input? Is the Pioneer able to play music and that would be sufficient for you?

I assume I have to pull the command head out to swap the cables, correct? I wonder how much a car stereo place would charge for this. Techwise this car is in the stone age.

Well that is the idea. The Pioneer has, hands free calling, ipod interface and voice command. I can also put a sd card in it as well.

I'm not sure about your head unit but if your Pioneer was able to us BT for audio streaming, at least with UMI you could stream your audio wireless without changing the AUX setup.

The Pioneer will mute my audio while playing music through it. The Pioneer does stream, but I doubt I can have an iphone linked to the unit and the pioneer to the umi at the same time. If the MB GPS wasn't so horrible, I wouldn't bother and would just get a UMI.
