changing ambient lighting

does anyone know how i can change the yellow ambient lighting on the car ceiling? i have done a full flood light (foot well) LED swap to cool white and it loks very nice i was wondering if it is possible to swap the LED's in the ambient swooshes on the ceiling i think white would give a sportier interior and match the gauges as well

Don't know how to change the ambient lighting to what you suggest, but just letting you know that the ambient lighting in your MB is specifically designed that color because it's supposed to preserve your night-vision better when driving. White light is more harsh on the eyes during the night and can "kill" your night vision and/or be a hazardous distraction if bright enough. Not only that, but if the white lights you install in your E-Class are brighter than the ambient lighting, you could lose some privacy at night (easier for people to see you from the outside at night).

i understand this, but the ambient lighting can be dimmed and even turned off in our cars and if it effects my driving i will re-replace them i was just wondering how to access that area... perhaps it's a bulb at one end like the C class eyebrows or the 5 series eyebrows

Hi, did you manage to find the source bulbs / LEDs for the ambient light strips?

I have a 2007 w216 cl550 I really want to swap out the orange lights for either ice white or blue.

I'd really appreciate the info.

Thanks
