Don't have any phone option installed. Would like to get my iphone into the mix. How easy is it to add bluetooth? Anyone done this? Thanks!

I did this, the unit itself is expensive:
http://www.viseeo.com/
It is quite reliable, I have never had a problem with it and you can link up a few phones to it.
I got MB to install it and they did a good job of mounting it in my arm rest box thingy. They didn't have any complications in doing this it took them at most 2 hours.
I don't really know how much it cost as I got them to throw it in with the car when I bought it hehe.

ViseeO is probably quite a good device but my understanding is that it is useless in this case. In the US (I assume the OP is from the US when he/she does not state otherwise) they did not have the Nokia phone kit and UMI was not an option for 2004 cars (as far as I know), none of the ViseeO options fit to the car even if it did have a phone kit.
I understand the car in question did not even have a phone kit. I believe the puck with tail should be the most straightforward way then:

The puck with the tail as mentioned in a previous post is the best option. I have it in my 2003 E320 and it works great. The bluetooth works seamlessly with the Command unit and the steering wheel controls. My understanding is that the Bluetooth puck with tail works with all Bluetooth capable phones.
