W211 - Teleaid Malfunction - Visit Workshop
Hello Folks .. My 2005 E320CDI - I took it into Mercedes - 2 hours later they were unable to clear the message. NAV works fine and 'ET did call Home'. The technician was to follow up with Technical support on how to disconnect/disable. Luckily-I been at the same dealership for 10 years .. NO Charge for the 2 hours .. Please offer any guidance / wisdom on resolving. Tks .. Roytoyman

TeleAid in a Mercedes is basically the same thing as "On-Star" is in GM vehicles here in the US. I am not sure if this function is available in Australia.

roytoyman,
Have exact same car (38,000 miles). A week ago got the same message. Don't have TeleAid installed. What did your dealer say/do??
Thanks

I also do not have the Teleaid service and used to periodically get the Visit Workshop - Teleaid Defective. You can ask your dealer to perform a software update that will disable the warning messages.

I had my B Service completed at 69,200 miles at my MB Dealer this week and also asked them to totally remove the Teleaid Defective-Visit Workshop message from appearing. My prior MB Dealer did a fix to stop the message three years ago, but the message would still appear occasionally when I'd turn the engine off.........usually out in the country area. My new MB Dealer didn't charge me for the fix listed on the service completion sheet: "Turn Off Remonder for Teleaid." Since they also found one of my Yokohama tires defective that wouldn't allow passing the annual Virginia State Safety Inspection, and I was planning to get new tires anyway in a few months, I also bought a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires from them.......they gave me a pretty good price including road hazard coverage for two years and lifetime tire rotations and rebalancing. I've only driven the vehicle one day with the new tires but they're great.....smooth, quiet, handling, etc.

Telaid message
This can only be resolved by the dealer. My experience was a no charge service.
When the country went from analog to digital the message appeared. Telaid could not find the analog connection, therefore the message.
The dealer has to turn off the Telaid using their star computer. Which you would think was a simple task. In my case NOT....After being in the dealer for 8+hours it came back on during the drive home. The 2nd trip and another 8hrs the finally got it right. (By the way there is a service bulletin for the fix).
Good luck.
