Has anyone upgraded their iPOD cable so it will charge new iPODs?

I wonder why in your 09? We have supplied them to the two local MB dealers for just that purpose.... who knows then (FYI, no disrespect to Scosche, but they know very little about the European cars - we have been on our own to figure out what works and what doesn't)

iPod Bluetooth adapter

Trying to connect a Bluetooth adapter to my iPod interface in my 2009 e550. Adapter powers up and connects to my phone but head unit reads incompatible connection. Anyone have advice on how to correct this problem. I'm using a Coolstream adapter which others have claimed to work. Is it my cable or a dealer issue that needs to be upgraded by a mb mechanic. Help! I want to be able to stream from my IPhone.
