Command not working

I have a 2003 E320 that was prewired for command. Purchased the American head unit on ebay along with the DVD drive and a new DVD in 2005. In 2005 had the car wired for phone - Motorola V60. In 2007 bought the plug-in bluetooth puck and have used a number of bluetooth phones for the last three years. Everything seemed right in the world Recently the BT connection would not sync. I would have to turn off the car and the phone and restart and the BT would work. Problem got worse until the system will not sync and I have removed the puck, using the phone on it's own. A week ago I was unable to enter a destination in the navigation system. The screen freezes on the option. If I go to previous destination and choose one I get the split screen and different situations but in all cases there is no route calculated and the screen freezes. I can go back to map and the GPS functions with the correct location and tracking. All other functions appear to work. Just cannot enter a destination and have the route plotted. Is there a way to reset the Command unit through the engineering screen or another screen or should I take to the dealer to check for fault codes and go from there?
