FS: OEM W211 Bi-Xenon Headlights
FS: OEM W211 Bi-Xenon Headlights. Came off of my E55. Perfect working and pristine condition. No scratches or broken tabs as you can see in pictures. These are OEMs and not some reps. I'm posting it here first before putting it on ebay and craigslist.

I am interested, but need some guidance on how hard these are to install. I have a 2007 e320. Are they simple plug and play or do I need to do some wiring or go to the dealer for a reset? Sorry for the basic questions, just don't know much about electrical and lighting systems. Thanks.

Check out this really detailed link for the Bi-Xenon Retrofit work. This was done by Yacht Master. I've never done it myself so I can't speak to the difficulty. It looks like it's a lot of work though. While it doesn't look like you'll need additional wiring, you will need to remove the bumper cover and have it version coded.

A couple of questions--feel free to answer via PM if you like
1) These are off your e55 I assume. How many miles on the set?
2) Damage (cracks / scratches) to the lenses?
3) Ballasts are built into the assembly (noob)?
4) Why are you changing out your headlights?
Thanks

Please see my replies to your questions below.

Yes, these are directly off of my W211 E55. It's got about 30K miles on it.
2) Damage (cracks / scratches) to the lenses?
The lenses are pristine. No cracks, scratches or dings. The units have no damages front or back. Often, people would sell their BiX because their car was involved in a collision and was replaced by their insurance company. In many of these cases, the tabs that hold them in place would give due to that impact of the collision. These have no damages on them whatsoever. As you can see from the pictures, they are clean.
3) Ballasts are built into the assembly (noob)?
Yes.
4) Why are you changing out your headlights?
There's a highway construction in the area where I live. I got pelted by some pebbles and other loose impediments that chipped the paint on my bumper. The headlights, I thought, were perfectly fine. No chips or anything on the lenses and both are in perfect working condition. My body shop was very picky and requested that my headlights be replaced. I figured that given the appearance of the lenses, the insurance company would never go for it. Surprisngly, the insurance company agreed to replace both as part of the claim. They also replaced the grill.
To make a long story short, I had my bumper repainted along with the replacement of the headlights and grill. So now, I have brand new headlights!! These have been sitting in the garage and was taking up space. I originally thought I could black-out the chrome pieces internally and black out the grills and lights and go all black. But I decided I can use the money to help fund go-fast mods instead.

I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I can ship it to Illinois. $1000 + shipping + paypal fees. I think the PP fees are 3%. Not looking to make money on shipping and PP fees. Send me your zip code so I can tell you costs of shipping to your portion of Illinois. Also let me know what type of shipping you prefer...ground, 2nd-day air, UPS, FedEx, etc.

Thanks Albert! The lights are great. I have a 2007 e320 with halogens. Can someone confirm that it really is as easy as swapping out the old lights and putting these in? I believe that they are from a 2005 e55. Does that matter? Then to the dealer for the version coding?
I have an estimate from my body shop for $200 for the swap. This seems very reasonable after going over the write-up that Albert cites above. Thanks.

Sean - You're welcome. I'm glad you received them in good order. You'll love the BiX much better than the halogens! ![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Yatch Master - where are you?

Need a bit of help here. I bought these lights, I believe them to be from a 2005 e55. I have a 2007 e320. It appears that the lights have four plugs in the back of them. I took my car to my body shop and they indicated that my current halogen lights have only one plug into them. Does anyone know if there is a straight-forward way to make this work? Thanks.

My understanding is that 07-09 Bi Xenon is a redesign and not plug and play if parts come from the older (03-06) cars. The auto leveling system is very different between the two. You can check with Steve at MBenzNL also.

These lights are back up for sale. They do not fit my 2007 e320. They are in great shape. Please email spleuba@comcast.net if interested. I am open to offers.
