Instrument Display Radio Options
2004 E55 I am trying to figure out how to switch from search mode when using the steering wheel up/down buttons to going through my preset stations. I looked in manual but could not find it.

I do not know how I changed it but now the scan button works when pressing the up don arrows. it will scan to next available station rather than just through presents???????

i dont think its even a choice, at least on MY 09. the up/down arrows only go through presets. if this is incorrect, how do i change the option to scan rather than scroll presets?

In an '04 the ONLY function the up/dn arrows ever had while the dash displays radio station is to go to the next receiveable radio station when pressed. The '07 & '08s can be "Settings" Programmed to either do that OR go to your next preset station. You haven't changed anything. You can not make the car do something is is not electronically programmed to be possible to do.

The '09s have a different audio system, so I can't comment on them.
