Idk how that would be possible as only the S and CL come with that standard, maybe it's blue like mine (solexx glass) vs the standard green. However, the current model ML, GL, and R class have it under one of the top-end packages (P3 or something). Idk why they would have it. I don't get MB sometimes, seriously
I've asked both a dealer S/A and my mechanic, and both say you can't get it aftermarket. Too bad. I know other cars such as 7-series, Bentley Continental, and Rolls Royce Phantom all come with this type of glass.
I noticed a huge difference while driving the CL to the mechanic today versus driving my car in regards to heat penetration. Both don't have any tints and what a difference the infrared "purple" stuff makes.

That looks like a car I would want to walk away from slowly and steadily if I saw it approaching me in a desolate area.... If ya know what I mean.

So it was an option? When did they get rid of it? I've never even seen anyone (except this guy) have it? So there is a part number for that IR reflect windshield for the E?

Tint on the windshield looks clean, but if too dark can comprimise your safety and attract cops. I like the way black tint looks, I think a light tint on the windshield would be a great touch if all other windows are also tinted.
