Help me Please im a newbie...

i got a 04 e500 .

i cant find the motor oil dipstick. i fould thr trans oil dipstick but it has no stick.. Did it fall inside the tranny?

trans shifts great..

check motor Oil on dashboard

check trans fluid with special tool

There are two dipstick tubes - one for oil and one for tranny. The one i think you are talking about is the oil tube - but it doesnt come with a dipstick. The tranny one is below that one and you have to remove the air filter housing to see it. The cap on the tranny tube will also let you know that that's the tranny.

To check your oil level, you need to go to the controls on the steering wheel with the engine off but the key on ignition. Follow the steps on the dash in front of you. The oil level readout will not tell you the quantity level of the oil, only that the level is OK.

thanks for info... so even if i find the tube i wont be able to measure the motor oil?

There's a special tool for this, too.

The tool cannot be permanently installed, just used to measure oil.

The dashboard readout method works just fine and it isn't worth it to get the special tool. This is no problem, really.
