Can I play a DVD-R in my car with the Navi?
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if I can play a dvd-r filled with music in my 2006 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI with the Navi. It can play MP3 cd's but whenever i put my dvd cd in there, it doesn't load and returns my cd back. Someone told me it worked with DVD cd's too, just wanted some more info in to how I can make my DVD cd's play. Thanks

I believe at some point in 06 they went to pure CD drives that do not recognize DVDs and it sounds like that's what's happening to you. I missed the DVD mp3 playing when I went from an 05 E500 to an 08 E550. By the way, DVD MP3 capability is returned in the 09's -- but there is no longer a single slot --- you can load six DVDs with mp3s in the changer (09's have other options for music as well). Hope this helps.

well, i put in a pure DVD data cd filled nothing but Mp3's, it tried to read it for awhile but then automatically ejected my dvd cd. My car's production date is 09.05.
