E500 side view mirror is always hot

This may sound silly, but u don't have your rear defogger on do you? I bel. if that is on then the side mirrors also start defogging - but I don't know if that would heat up the mirror. Just a thought....

I think the MB mirrors defog on their own. My 06 yukon xl denali however requires the rear defogger to be switched on.

You can try interior fuse panel - #33 (30A) for driver front door module, and #22 for passenger front door module however, you may need to have the software to both door control-modules updated with SDS.
