sport rims and wood wheel detail question

I have posted in the detaling forum with no reply.

I have E500 Sport -The rims are "light alloy"- what does one use to clean them? Can u use Meguiars chrome- rim polish?

Wood Wheel and Wood Trim- any suggestions to clean this also?

I clean my wheels with a mild car wash. As far as the wheel and trim, a soft damp cloth should do the trick.

Zaino!

I clean my wheels with Z7 car wash and protect the finish with Z2/ZFX...same products that I use for the car finish. Once treated, brake dust is very easy to clean off.

As for wood wheel...it is still on order

I do the same. For the wheel and interior trim, I use a detail brush just to knock all the dust off (before I vacuum) and it looks great. Of course, it's just me in it most of the time. If it gets a smudge or anything around (what would be) the ashtray, I use a slightly damp microfiber towel followed by a dry one.
