03 E500 Spt. car cuts off during drive. Turns but wont start. Check engine comes on
Car has shut off at stop light. Attempted to restart but just turned and wouldn't start. After several minutes it came on again. The check engine light came on. Drove car again and it cut off on me while I was driving around 35 MPH. All the warning lights on the instrument cluster light up. RPM drops to zero. Changed both batteries in car after this happened. Happened second time I drove the car again. Any suggestions on what could be wrong? Thank you.

I have to agree with the two guys above.
Crankshaft Position Sensor. Common issue with M.B.
$60 part (Ebay and online parts stores) and takes 10 minutes to do.
You need an E8 torx (need a 3/8 to 1/4 reducer cuz the bit is probably a 1/4 drive) and long extension for your ratchet.
Fix it yourself and save tons!!!!
