Rear tire size, 265 vs. 275

Wondering why MB chose 265/35/18 (rears) for our E sport setup, matched with 245/40/18 (fronts)? The diameter is 2% difference.

Now with the CLS, our twin-sister, get setup with 275/35/18, which seems better matched. So why isn't our E-class setup the same way? Why the smaller 265/35/18?

CLS is a bit larger than E class in chassis and its called 4 door Coupe.
Actually if you have the AMG rims, it should able to fit 275. So if u want to upgrade you can do it. The car will have better traction.

9" wide rims, AMG or sport, can fit 275s.
