Thumbs down Question for W211 Owners - Need Help

I recently leased a W212 E350, love the car. I recently found condensation in my headlamps and brought the car back to the dealer.. The first tried to tell me that this is normal, but I went nuts after I heard that. Now they have agreed that its not normal and have submitted the pictures that I took to MBUSA for further investigation... Im waiting for an answer soon.

Second, After further inspecting the entire car, I noticed that the hood of the car doesnt appear to be aligned evenly. Maybe Im losing my mind but my gf agrees with me. The left side of the hood is clearly a few mm wider than the right side. Right under the hood where it meets the head lights, I can stick my pinky finger inbetween the gap where as on the same exact spot on the right side, I cannot, there is no room at all. They call me today and told me that they had corrected the issue with the hood. Great!
When I showed up to pick up the car, the sales area gave me the keys and a gentleman walked me to my car on the lot. I looked at the hood and It was the same exact identical way it was prior to bringing the car in. I was so PISSED!!!!!! I didnt take the car, I left it and gave the keys back. I will call service in the morning and give them the fu_kin business.. Did I do the right thing by not taking the car ? I wasnt happy at all. Still misaligned.. Im very nuerotic when it comes to these things, I wont be able to drive knowing about it. When I read the return service paper, they claimed that the hood was adjusted and the latch was greased ??? " Hood is now properly aligned and corrected " What BULL****...

Thoughts!??

Good for you!!!!

We aren't buying misaligned crappy products. We expect German thoroughness. How did this car get off the line with this defect? Show them another 212 that has been manufactured correctly.

Was the hood completely shut? If you softly close the hood only 1 side may latch, leaving one side sitting higher.....It will be closed enough to not trigger the hood open message. Same concern exists on the W204.

If I were you, return the car for refund. You wont be happy about this car even its fixed. Ask them to change a new one for you.

Keep it

Well, you lease a car, not bought it...I would just keep the car and return when the lease ends. The hood wiil not affect your driving performance and no one will notice it...

Sorry, didint by refund. You should able to change a new car.
You have to make a big complain in order for them to give you a new car.
At least change the car if u are not satisfied.

You can't do that either. Once a car is Titled it must be sold as used and a new one bought. YOU eat the depreciation on the used one.

You have got to be kidding me with that statement !! So you're saying you should just lease/finance a high end car,and accept whatever you get due to the terms of your agreement?? It's enough that the owner notices it,that's more than sufficent... You truly get what you allow !!
