My neighbor and I both have 2006 E class cars.
We both had E (or F) pop up on the 15 and 30k services.
In both cases, a programming change was incluided in the service. Some 2006 cars apparently show a higher level of service required.
Is yours an 06?

They only change oil, filter, all kind of filter and check all the fluide in the car + inspect if anything is bad. All that cost $700 ..... its crazy.
I rather just flush all the fluide than pay for just check up. It will cost about the same......

I was told by my MB Service Rep that in the USA only Service A and B designations are used along with the associated list of service to perform. Follow the corresponding letters under each A and B. So, when the FSS indicates Service C due, it's the same as a Service A. Service E would also equate to Service A.

What I did for mine I ask the MB service guy what service E consist off: Mostly things that are done accordingly to maint. manual and milege. Only thing which needs to be done on mine is changing the brake fluid (every 2 years) and all filters (fuel, air and combination), which I changed for myself, and inspection on different thing. All this is included in Service 13 or 14, like 14 overlaps 13 plus some additiona work and cost of 300-800 bucks. So I went ahead and called one of the sales guys and ask him should I go and do Service E and his advise was: Go online and find way to reset yor service indicator, and I told him that i know how to do this but i want to reset only thing which needs to be done. So I reset the servise indicator and now sais service C due in 13 000 miles. Only thing I will have to do is change the brake fluid (about 2 hours job).
