The message "Tele Aid Defective - Visit workshop" is desplayed on my 2004 E320. I do not subscribe Mercedes Tele Aid currently and have no intention of doing so in future. Does anyone know how to reset the message?

I believe the '04s came equipped with Analog TeleAid phone systems. There is no more Analog Cell Phone service (digital only) so you couldn't subscribe anyway. Some have reported that dealers can turn this message off permanently.

Would turning it off affect bluetooth / cell phone functionality at all?

It will not. I turned it off myself with SDS and Steve from mbenznl turned my BT Puck with tail on with his SDS. Works like a charm and no more nagging screen and beeping sound.Originally Posted by fortlaudsummer
