Inoperative Windshield Wipers

Have a lessons learned to share with my windshield wipers not working. I was driving in the rain last week with my wipers on when they suddenly stopped working. I tried all positions on the handle and they didn't work except using the push-in position to get the washer fluid. I was due for service at my MB Dealer and knew my CPO Extended Warranty would cover the repair, if they could diagnose the problem. It rained again the next day and the wipers were working o.k. but then stopped again when I made a turn into a cross street. Long story short, I discovered the wipers worked fine except when I put the left turn signal on.......right turn signal position was o.k. My Dealer replaced the combined turn signal/wiper control switch in the steering wheel column yesterday and everything's fine now. Don't know if the vehicle's computer would have recorded this fault or not but it obviously helps to provide the repair shop as much information as possible.
