MB ROADSIDE ASSIST SPARE TIRE QUESTION

Okay so my tire popped on my 06 e500 and the shop has to order a new tire wont be here till Wednesday. Heres the kicker, i need to car the next 3 days to go back and forth to work. Totaling about 150 miles. I called MB roadside assistance and they assured me the donut as long as its inflated properly can be driven at speeds of 50mph or less for 500 miles...

how do you guys feel about that. kindly respond asap as i dont wanna die cuz the donut blows up

It will most likely be OK as long as you keep your speeds down below 50 and the tire is correctly inflated. It will look lousy though. Why will it take so long to obtain a new tire?? Why are you replacing just one, should be at least a pair if your car has more than say 8 to 10000 miles on the current tires.
The big issue is what do you do if you have another flat while the spare is in use??

You'll be fine. Its hard to look at, but the likelihood of another flat before the new tire arrives is small. Tires don't have to be replaced in pairs unless there is a big difference in tread or shoulder wear.

You can buy a spare wheel and full-size tire--it fits. BTDT

Kent do you happen to know if an OEM 19" AMG wheel and tire will fit in the spare area of an 2010 ML550??
