Command Screen Initially Dim
Anybody experienced this? My command screen has been getting dim when I first start the car. It seems to get brighter as it stays on for a period but not as bright as I remember it to be.

2006 E320CDI
I have noticed the same thing on my 06 E320CDI recently with the cold weather we have been having. After driving for several minutes it gets brighter and looks normal. I thought it may be caused by a weak battery so I replaced the main battery as it was the original battery and has a few years service. It seems to be better but not like it was when it was warm. I am beginning to believe that the cold affects the display and that it may be normal. As long as doesn't get worst I am ok with it as it gets bright after a few minutes.

My 2003 E320 has always been like that. Im in CA so its never that cold here (Rarely gets under 40). It usually goes away in a few mins as you stated, never really considered it much of a problem

Has anybody here gotten a ghost image in their screen where the rectangular on screen buttons always go, when you are listening to radio or SAT? Is this something that we just live with?
