Keyless Go Problem
I searched but couldn't find same problem.
One of my key fob stopped working for keyless door lock/unlock.
It still works if I press buttons on the fob. It even works for starting the car without putting it in the ignition.
With the other key, everything works perfect.
I changed the battery in the problem one, but still same problem.
This makes no sense.
The battery in the fob and the car is good and the sensor in the door handle is good. And it is sending out signal since starting the car works. So what else could it be?
Is there a way to resync or reprogram?

there are multiple sensors in the keyfob, one of them went bad. I have the opposite with one of mine, it will open everything but won't start the car

I'm not sure which parts you would call sensors but your problem sounds like the power coil soldering issue, or the IR led (less likely). Did you ever open your keyfob to have a visual check?

It could be the handle but then the other key should not work at that door. If it was your KG key issue, it would not work inside the car allowing the car to be started either (except when the key is put into the ignition slot). Perhaps some issues were intermittent and you concluded wrong, can you recheck (or explain the issue again).

Can you explain how do you conclude the handle in the car being OK if you cannot unlock that door without using the remote buttons? You mean the driver's door opens normally with your other key? This does not sum up.

With one key EVERYTHINGS works. (all 4 doors)
With the other one everything except keyless door works( all 4 doors)

I called one dealer, and they said the key fob is not covered under original MB warranty.
It's not like the key is physically damaged but malfunction in the electronics.
I'm going to drive to the dealer and find out what the deal is.

Key is covered under factory warr and ELW and most aftermarket warr. See a better SA that knows what he is talking about.
The key is NOT covered for cracked/split buttons or water intrusion or any type of physical damage......

Does anyone know if a dealer gets profit from warranty work?
I visited another dealer just earlier, and completely wasted my time.
It seems to me they just want to give you run around until you get tired and give up on these non major warranty works.
They even tried to argue that only one key supposed to work for what they call "Convenience feature" such as keyless entry and keyless go.
I told them both keys have been working and one stopped working for keyless entry. Keyless go still works on the problem one.
They don't seem to believe me, and insisted that the problem is with the car which will require about 4 hrs of diagnostic.
Is it easy to program the key if you buy the new one from the dealer?
If that's the case I'll just get one myself.
