Auto Radio Volume

Auto Radio Volume

Hello,

My auto volume control on my radio seemed to stop working. Before I could hear the radio volume get louder and lower as I roll my window down and up. It does not work now, is there a control for this? Did I turn this option off without knowing? Any inputs will be appreciated.

i never knew of this system, but your saying the volume will get louder when you roll down your window, and lower the vol. when you close your window? ill try it out, thanks

I've never heard of this either (with respect to the "window" lowering). But volume is suppose to increase (at least with the HK system) as "speed" increases (tied to road/wind noise). I believe it's more a function of speed as opposed to actual "noise" level. Mark

yea i tried the window thing and no luck. i didnt have the car started, but i had the car is position 2. yea like you stated, volume will increase where the car sensors more road/wind noise

This is one of those options that's cool to read about but not really functional in practicality.

Windows up...volume set.

Windows/sunroof open...doesn't everyone on the planet want to be listening to the same thing I am? Aren't you amazed at the clarity of sound in MY car?

Ain't no 'puter gonna synthesize that...

Sorry, I didn't mean the volume control to be associated with the window being up or down. Your absolutely correct, the volume control varies upon the interior noise level. I just remember the radio volume increasing when I am traveling highway speeds and crack my windows a bit and then the volume increases. My volume does not increase or decrease with different levels of interior noise levels. I do not know if it is broken or not.
