Now that it's made, how do I track it?
Sorry guys, I know someone has answered these questions before but a quick search reveiled little.
1.
What is the website address that you use to track Benz cars while on the container ship?
2.
What details do I need to get from my dealer to know which car is mine,eg chassis number, VIN number, etc?
Thanks again.

No, a site that tracks your car once it has been built and is on the water to it's ultimate destination, your MB head office.
After another search I found the site.
http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp
Click the Cargo Tracking in the tools menu on the right.
Click Auto under Track by Cargo
Enter your build or VIN number and Track.
Tracking/shipping details should appear.

IT WORKED!!!
I just got my VIN number from the dealer and used the WW website to track it.
It has left Germany, docked and left Belgium and Spain and is now sailing off to South Africa.
It is then to arrive in Fremantle, Australia on the 2nd April.
Then off to Melbourne (my destination, arrival date 7th April) ,Sydney and finally Brisbane.
A great service to use if your car is on one of their ships.
Come to papa baby!!!

Callaway, did you dealer know when your car was going to be built, and at which point in time did he receive the VIN for your car? Our E-class was supposed to be built between the 10 and 20th of March (what we were told several weeks ago), but the dealer still doesnt have a VIN and has suggested the vehicle hasnt even left Germany. All he could give us was the commision number. You would think the car would nearly be here if it was built in that time period.
Do you know when in time they receive production dates and VIN's? We are now being told that the CLK will be built in late may early june. The only information we have on that vehilce is the comission number.
I ask, because i fear were being taken for a ride, with no definite answers on anything. I dont even know if the e-class is built!
The E-class was ordered early december and the Clk in mid october.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

I got my VIN # a day after it was manufactured from the dealer. I then tracked it on the shipping web site but you can't track it without the VIN # and it has been loaded on the ship.
