2006 Mercedes-Benz E-320 CDI
I own a 2006 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI, and a 2000 VW Jetta TDI. I have owned my 2000 TDI since it was 2 years old, and I bought the 2006 MB CDI just this year.
Even though I have the older model Jetta TDI, I still think they are in the same ballpark. You are comparing two very different cars. The Jetta is more of a everyday car rather than Mercedes-Benz which is a luxury car. Ofcourse its going to cost more to maintain the E-Class, because the Benz is an high end car, and the Volkswagen is just a normal commuter. Don't get me wrong, I love my Jetta but I don't see the comparison between the two of them.
You have owned a Benz for this long, are you sure, you want to downgrade to a Volkswagen ?
