Cool SBC Pump Replaced! What to expect?

About two weeks ago I’ve got the “BREAK – visit the workshop” message on MFD screen. I replaced front brake pads and installed new sensors (one of the sensors was broken) but the message would not go away. Took the car to the dealer and they hooked it up to a computer. The verdict – SBC pump reached its life limit and needed to be replaced. Got a brand new pump and lines installed with new brake fluid all under warranty. Great deal! The only difference that I am noticing now is that I don’t get that ‘signature’ sound (not that I ever liked it) of SBC pump pressurizing every time I open the driver door in the morning (or every 16th press on the brake pedal). I’ve heard that MB made changes on E-class starting in 2007 particularly to its brake system. Does anyone here know if I’ve got an updated SBC pump that doesn’t’ have to pressurize every so often? Could I expect longer life out of this newer pump?

There is no SBC in '07s onward in E 350s & 550s. Your pump is the latest model with all the improvements they could think of before throwing the system into the trash. Great idea, just not ready for Prime Time.
