Guys with SBC brakes, pls do a test for me
so I changed out my alternator last night, this one has a different behavior from the last one observing thru dyno mode -- Can you guys confirm what you see on ur E-classes so I can figure out if this alternator's outta wack..
Enter Dyno Mode:
Insert ignition key, rotate CW 1 click
Bring up the 0 mph screen & then press up arrow to see 50 F screen
now rotate key CCW & immediately CW to 1 click & press the Reset button 3 times
You'll see UV: 12.5v on the screen
now crank up and it will change to 14.2v -- this is ur alternator
Now observe, when headlamps & heater seats turned on, the voltage dips to 13.8v and stays there ---
My old alternator used to dip down and then recover to 14.1 --- the remanufactured one I put in does not do that...
Also I pumped the brakes & sBC went on, the voltage dipped to 13.4 and then recovered to 13.8
Do you guys see the same thing ?
