Dark Green oil after pulling off Tanny Pan ??

my car has about 113,000 miles on it and i decided to do a tranny fluid flush my 2004 E320 ... i first raised the car on the driver side with the jack and threw a jack stand under the car just incase, pulled the plastic panels off and then started on the tranny oil pan ... took off six torx bolts slid a container under neath the pan to catch the oil so i can measure it to make sure how much i have to put back in ... oil comes out .. its like greenish looking, alittle bit sludgy ... Glycol?

send a sample out to be tested... and u shouldnt put as much fluid in as u took out. it might need more. u should get the specs and put in the right amount and the right fluid(i went wit MB ATF) or else ur asking for some costy transmission problems down the road $$$

Do you have a picture? The color of the original ATF might have been like dark olive oil, which is a fairly common color in lifetime ATF.

MB has a spec on the ATF. Just buy it from the dealer. I think it's about $17/qtr. It has a light golden color, as far as I can from pictures people posted online. Other people also have used Redline ATF D4 or other brands. In the late 90s and early 2000s, the lifetime ATF in BMWs has the color of dark olive oil, however, the color of their specified replacement ATF is golden and costs about $46/qtr at the dealership.
