189 degrees Fahrenheit

I have not driven my car in about 10 months or so. I was prompted with "Vehicle too Low" and "convenience features disabled" message when I started it up which I knew to attribute to all the down time. The outside temp in the gauge cluster is showing 189 degrees Fahrenheit. At first I figured that it was normal due to all the down time but I ran the car for about an hour and the rest of the messages are gone but the temp has not changed. Is this something normal? Will it just take time to adjust?

Thanks in advance for any help

Quite probable the temp sensor behind the grille is disconnected physically or electronically.

That's what mine read in '04 when the sensor was ripped away by some road debris.

Thanks Barry45RPM. Where is the sensor located exactly? I will try to find it and see if its disconnected or missing
