Clear lights

briar........I want the light housing for looks, I have a white E500 and the orange really stands out. I think the clear with chrome backaround would really look better with the car.

Does anyone have any more info on these? I'd like to get them in clear or, preferably, smoke, to balance out the colors of the car. The orange really is an eye-sore in my opinion.

I had smoke corners on my 01 Porsche Boxster, and that made such a difference in looks for the car. See below:

My mom is about to buy my dad a Boxster for his 50th B-day, and i was wondering, if your Boxster has Litronic headlights and where did you get your clear side markers. I want to get the same wheels as well, do you know where i can get the same wheel/tire combo for a cheap price? thanks!

Yes, those are Litronics. But, you can get 99-01 Carrera regular lights (much cheaper than Litronics) for the same look.

The clear corners came with the car (the dealer I got the car from was "informed" and switched the orange out of all his inventory). You can buy them, very inexpensively, from their online parts store. Go to www.suncoastporsche.com, and click on Porsche Parts, and then Porsche, then Techquipment Boxster, then Exterior. And scroll down.

See if this link works (should go directly to the side markers) $29.95 http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me..._Code=POTEBXEX

Incidentally, they are the cheapest supplier of Litronics as well -- about $1100 for the set, with full wiring instructions, etc.

As for the wheels, you can get really nice replicas from Tirerack.com. Cheap too. Mine are 18" Turbo-looks and came with the car from the factory, and are expensive. As far as I'm concerned as long as the factory Porsche crest fits on the replica wheel, there is no difference (the crest does fit by the way).

Let me know if you want any more info, I'll be happy to help you.

Sorry, I was away... why are you getting Smoke/Red Taillights, if it's an 04? From 03-onward, the smoke/red taillights are standard. If the car is not an 04, email me, there is a place in Europe that charges very little for the OEM lights (under $200/pair) with $20 or so for shipping. Much cheaper than anyone over here does. I put them on my 01, with no hassle.

Also check eBay. Again, if it's an 04, then you don't have to worry about the rear tail lights.

Nice setup though!

Its not the white/red taillights that are stock on the 03+ Boxsters, its actually Black and Red.
