I have been convinced since buying the car that the car leans to the right. You can see the suspension parts on the driver side while approaching car, but passenger side front seems lower...cannot see the same thing...
A couple weeks after getting car, I heard a loud "thunking" sound eminating from RIGHT front wheel. Diagnosed as "loose subfrmae bolt" and "tightened".
Dealer service told me it "was a fluke."
Error code on console came up around same time and I took it in and they said it was "just a soft code" and no big deal. What does soft code mean?
2months later I roll down windows (because it got up to 50 degrees finally) and I hear brake squeel from right front wheel. After three visits they tell me that there must have "been a rock" that damaged the rotor and pad!
Pad and rotor on right wheel had a groove worn in. Sound did not go away after sanding down rotor and pad. SO they tell me NEXT to pay for NEW ROTORS AND PADS on front in order to be bale to diagnose this if there is something else wrong.
Is this BS or what? Other mechanics tell me a rock damaging rotor and pad is like a million to one chance.
How can I prove if this car is leaning? Any ideas how I can figure out if bearing is bad or if coil springs are bad etc?
MB assured me brakes were at 90% or better when I purchased this car.
HELP! ANY SUGGESTIONS?
