Help with headlight cleaning

Help with headlight cleaning
So my headlights started to look a bit foggy. I bought some headlight polish and went about cleaning them. I did not see any change, so right away I thought the stuff was junk, even though it was Mother's, a brand I have some respect for. I went to use it on my van at work, since the lamps were almost yellow, and it did a great job cleaning those.
Long story short, about a year or so ago I replaced the bulbs with HID's and since I did not want to punch holes on the removable rubber covers on the back, I did not put them back. Now, the fog is on the INSIDE of the lenses, and I cannot get to them.
Is there a way to take them apart, or some other way to clean the inside of the lens?
Any help or tips will be appreciated, I really hate the "dirty" look they have right now.

i did the same thing and didnt put the one cap on for a while, bc i was waiting to cut it to fit the wires, and all this dust went into it. So now when the head lights are on i see dust.. so if any one got any ideas, ill need some tips too. haha

I haven't done this on any MB headlights, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on them.
1 Remove headlight assembly
2 Pour distilled water into the headlight
3 Shake vigorously
4 Dump water out
5 Repeat steps 2,3, and 4 until the inside is clean
6 Dry off the outside of the headlight assembly and place on a
heating pad until it is completely dried out inside
