MBF lease end offer

That is a very nice car - if it wasn't a P2 or have that color combo it would not be a big deal - that's what gives it the value and the fact you know the history.
P1 cars are a dime a dozen.

I don't mind paying $3k more for a car that I like, a reliable car with absolutely nothing wrong, a car that I know its history and everything in between, than buying another used car that I don't know anything about. Isn't there someone on this forum didn't change the motor oil for the past 100k mi? Good luck buying that car!

I would assume most people here will qualify for the lowest finance rate. MB Finance has a very low bar anyway, something like 650, I think.
The bigger issue is that the CPO market is pretty brisk. MB calls the shots on this one, the OP has to realize that saying no just on principal will mean buying something else to replace it (at the same pricing.) You can tell yourself you're in the driver's seat, but in the end consumers never really are....

So M-B Financial can throw in a Warranty on the Purchase Deal?
Looks like they're not wiling to budge much on price, but are throwing in the Warranty as a discount of sorts on its own.
That is a pretty high price, but if comparable cars are going for high $20's/low $30's, then IMO, what's a few grand when you're getting a car that you know inside and out, know all the stories of, know how it's been cared for, maintained, etc., and is personalized to you in those regards.
Also, you've got a great combo, so that even gives you more reason to indulge the passion side over the dollar side.

We had an 07 P2 4matic, sport, best car we had to date. We went to MB dealer to lease a 10 similarly equiped car and the monthly was $250 over what we were paying for the 07. We could not justify this. The residual went down to about 45% from the 07's 55%, yes the price of the car went up, but not that much ($2,000). Got a wonderful deal on a Jag XF premium, they had plenty of "trunk" money to make the deal.
We were sorry to leave the MB family and hope to be back soon, in the meantime the Jag is a wonderful car. We'll see how the service is.

They were talking lease payments approaching $1,000 per month for 36 or 39 months. I liked the car but felt that was over the top. No response from the dealership since my last visit in March.
