power steering fluid

Has anyone bought power steering fluid from the dealer? Can you tell me the color of the fluid? The color of the fluid in the reservoir after 68k mi is clear honey/light brown. I have no idea the color of the original fluid when the car was new. The manual specifies Pentosin CHF 11S, which is green.

The Pentosin green stuff is supposed to be put into your power steering system.. The fluid will change with age and use so yes it will turn brown..

No one has bought the MB brand power steering fluid? Just wondering its color vs. the Pentosin fluid. If your car has under 10k mi, can anyone check the color of the fluid in the reservoir?

As Racin fool stated, Pentosin is the correct fluid and it's greenish in color.

Yes, I know that Pentosin is green. I bought a can. I was talking about the MB brand, not Pentosin.

If the original MB fluid is brown, that would explain the clear blown fluid in all of my MBs. I would be worried if the original fluid was green.
