My 2005 E320 currently have 70,000kms (43 500 miles) on the odometer.
Thanks for your response.

Sorry, I can not give you any recommendations for pads in the USA.
I still have the first pads on my car, now with 76.000 km

Cosinus
Just to confirm, the 2005 E320 should have brake pad depth sensors that will tell me via on-screen warnings to when it is time to replace the pads right? I have not seen such warning message but the dealer is saying that i should have them replaced.
Thanks.
But not all pads have these sensors or not all sensors are connected.
So it can happen that the inner or outer pad is fully worn and no message is displayed.
How many km do you have?
regards
Cosinus

Cost to replace pads.. About $85.00 for oem parts ordered from a forum vendor with sensors and about 3 hrs of my time. (I work slow )

Rotor - Balo Front($74.00) and Rear ($36.00)
Pads - Akebono(Front)($72.00) , Centric (Rear $40.00)
Spark plugs-Bosch $9.00
Sensor-$6.00
Total $394.00 on racepages.com
It took 4hours.
If you have experienced on other car
it is almost the same job. Except removing the rotors (little tough job)
Also a very important thing is Remove the SBC cable.
This forum was very helpful.
If you want DIY check this forum...
Sorry no pics.
Good luck
I have 2006 e-350 base model 63000 miles
But I the rotors wouldn't be as inexpensive at the dealers. If you have to buy those I would suggest the autohouze site ~$75 a piece.
You can totally do the break job yourself. It is very similar as doing them to any other car. The only extra step you have to do is disconnect SBC during the install. There is a DIY sticky'ed I believe.

The dealers are very quick to replace the costly rotors. Use an accurate pair of measuring calipers to make sure replacement is indeed necessary. I routinely get much more than 100K miles on the rotors on my cars while I'm not trying to be easy on the brakes.
Does anyone know any suppliers that will accept Canadian credit card with Canadian billing address? I can have the parts shipped to a US location near the border but they still wouldn't accept credit cards with Canadian billing address.
Your help is very much appreciated.
I JUST bought some race pads direct from the company.
And honestly all credit cards should be international; thats just bad customer service, if they really don't want the sales in this economy it is crazy!!!
