New 5 vs E-Class Which one looks sportier?

Man I thought I was the only one who thought the back of my E looks like the back of a Camry, or the older Sonata, or any one of a dozen cars, which have similar rear lights. I mean, truly, I can't tell from afar if it is an E, or a Camry, or Sonata or a C.

W211 & Q7
surely, you and I can tell but not from a distance
w211 has 2 clear part in rear brake lights, carmy has one.
the third brake light of w211 is on the trunk but carmy is inside car like w210.
but someone may see our w211 from the back as carmy.
my e39 (bmw) has the same issue. mitsubish galant obviously copys e39's butt.

this is why japanese luxury car makers can never be a leader in the market. (lexus always copys mb)

To me, BMW has taken 5 steps back with their designs. The Z3 days were their glory days (I'm probably biased). But, maybe there is hope because, here is an awesome looking M6 coming:

For the first time, I think the E looks sportier than the 5. I think the new 5 looks like a Kia or something. Cheap. that line in the rear from the trunk destroys balance.
The last 3 E-s have been great but this new one is something special to look at in sport and E55 form.
The current 5 is beautiful.

I went to a BMW showroom two days ago and they had the new 5 Series. It looks MUCH better in person. Quality is very nice. The car "feels" great. I played with the iDrive, good stuff.
I personally like the new 5 Series better than the E-Class.

e500. BMW new 5 is FUGLY &
I own a the soon to be replaced e39. (2000 528 MT) , its the biggest mistake BMW has made since the new 7 series, E500 is way too buggy to buy now,

It seems to me that the new 5 series has a very Japanese look to it. I think BMW has lost it german look. The side profile looks really good except the rear lights. But then again, its very japanese.
