ps -ef | grep NERD | grep -v grep | awk '{ print $2 }' | xargs kill -9
Once you find the process(') you have to make sure your grep isn't one of them, then grab the process ID, then send that to the kill -9..... there are of course various other ways....

So instead of "got root" it's "got enable" right?? LOL I've been in/out of Cisco, Redback and Juniper routers over the years....not so much on any of it anymore, more of a planning/engineering guy now, but I keep a Sun Box fired up at home in case the urge to "vi" something gets too great.

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
Hey, without them geeks (I say them because while I'm a gadget lover, I couldn't write any code for it), we'd still be driving carbureted cars.
My next vanity plate will be either:
1000101
or
2MCHHP

MBWorld Fanatic!
As a fellow IT geek who lived in WV for a while, I like it! ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I'd like to get some WVU VA plates, but I figured I'd like to remain as anonymous as possible in beltway traffic. I'd hate to rub someone the wrong way in traffic and have them notice my car at a later date!
My 420SEL has a silver flying WV on it. A 126 is pretty rare around these parts (way too old), and with the wvu symbol on it, it makes it stand out even more.
I did consider plates that said some variant of 'diesel' or 'turbo diesel', but all of them were taken (by pickup truck drivers I'm assuming..).
anyways, nice looking car!
