My Stage I Mods
Just finished the following modifications on my E500:
1. Wood steering wheel.
2. Replaced the accelerator, brake and foot brake pedals.
3. Installed the AMG Styling IV Double Spoke Wheels.
8.5" x 18" (front) and 9.5" x 18" (rear)
4. Mounted Michelin Pilot Sports A/S tires.
245/40 ZR 18 (front) and 275/35 ZR 18 (rear)
Very happy with the outcome; ride quality is still very good and comfortable. The Michelin Pilot Sports A/S are not noisy at all compared to the OEM Continental Sport Contact 2 tires.
Will post more pictures. Enjoy!

Here is another photo of the car.
Glad I made it in time to catch the cherry blossoms.

Took your advice and installed the wood steering too! Adds a very nice touch indeed.

Many thanks to Crazy4Cars for the info. It was a simple DIY installation job.

If you don't mind, could you tell me where did you get those wheels in those sizes.

Nappa Leather
Here is a picture of the Drive Dynamic Seats in Nappa Leather. Note absence of the usual pin holes. Nappa Leather feels so luxurious; glad I opted for it.

Theine, those E55 wheels should be available from your friendly MB dealer. That is where I bought them; on special order basis. If you need part numbers, send me a PM.

So, I opted for the next best thing for now, a look alike! Perhaps my next car will be the real McCoy.

More on Nappa Leather
Hi muhri! Here is another photo of the rear seats. By the way, I never saw your post. Perhaps you posted while I was in Manila last month, sorry.

Awesome
Great looking mods. I too have the wood wheel and love it. One thing I was thinking of doing and thought you might be thinking about is replacing the shifter with a matching wood one. Have you considered this? Does anyone have an interior shot with one?
Thanks for the pics.

Fantastic Beng...you hit the jackpot with your mods. I have to wait until I see if MB is going to buy back my car (Navigation) before I start any mods.
I really like the pedals and I remember when you asked Enrique about his. What does the foot rest on the left hook on to?
Tell us again where you got them and the cost.
The wheels and the rest are just outstanding.

Etenn, Vdimemmo, Theine, Red Baron...
All parts used were supplied by the MB dealer. I do not have the paperwork yet because the Service Advisor did not close out the Job Order. He is still waiting for the replacement engine mounts. Once everything is completed, he will close the JO. At that time, I will post the info you folks have requested.
For the benefit of those interested in making the same mods on the pedals; accelerator is from R170 SLK and brake/footbrake pads are from R230 SL. These are really easy to install. If you look at your OEM pedal pads you will know what I mean.
Opted to have the wood steering wheel installed at the dealership because of warranty/liability issues on the air bag. I didn't want to mess around with it. According to the Service Advisor, labor would not be more than .5 hour. They installed the pedal for me too.
Cmaustin, no plans as yet to replace the shifter knob. If you decide to, matching the shift knob with the wood trim on the dashboard would do the trick.

benggolf,
Great looking car!!! I really like the additions you have made. Regarding the Nappa Leather, I did not see this listed as an option on the mbusa website. How much additional did you have to pay for the Nappa leather?
