WTB: Ball Joint Removal/Install Tool
Looking to buy a w211 Lower ball Joint Removal/Install tool. Anyone have one they're willing to let go for a reasonable price??
Don't want to pay $140 + shipping.
Better still, anyone in the Metro Atlanta area willing to let me borrow/rent it from you???
Let me know.
Thanks,
Will

When I did my lower ball joints, I used the tool that Autozone has in its Loan-a-Tool system, but you'll need to remove the wheel hub, brake dust shield, and wheel speed sensor(to prevent accidental damage) to access the ball joint properly. A little extra work, but I saved the $100+ by not buying the special tool. Took about 2 hrs to replace one joint.
