Oil leak in E-550
Hoping someone can help, really frustrated. My 2007 e-550 has been leaking engine oil. It has been "fixed" by Mercedes 5 times. First dipstick tube seal. Nope. Then front seal. Nope. Then Oil tray gasket? I do not know what this is. Nope. Then front and rear seal (engine) NO. 54k miles
puked oil, about 2 quarts, onto my driveway after 147 miles of being "fixed" by Mercedes of South Charlotte. So what am I to believe now/ Dealer says I need an oil pan. I purcheased the car at 47000 miles and it has never been right. What would you do next? Any advise would be greatly appreciated, is this a common issue, I am new to forum, this is my 3d benz, and the only one I have had issues with. Other than a small electrical issue with myold C240...

Wrong forum. Post in the W211 forum.
Is the car a CPO still under warranty? Have you checked the lemon laws in your state? More than x number of attempts (depending on your state's law) to fix a particular issue w/o success and you can lemon the car.
Have you tried having an Indy look at it for another opinion? How about another dealer?

It's not difficult to locate the exact location of the oil leaks. Not sure why the techs at the dealer couldn't do that, unless they screwed the the repair. Common leak areas: valve cover gaskets, oil filter housing gasket, oil pan and rear main seal.

I would get MBUSA involved .. I'm not sure what the exact procedure is, but I've seen it recommended to many others here when the dealer is unable to resolve their issues.
It is not common for 07+ W211's to leak oil.
